Matron of Honor

When I think of Erin, the first thing that comes to mind is how much my brother loves her. Since my freshman year in high school, I have been hearing about how wonderful Erin is and I don’t think my brother has stopped talking about her since. Their marriage has been a true example of Christ’s love and one which Matthew and I hope to emulate. Erin is the loving mother of my two sweetest angels ever, my nephews, Nate and Ben. She is an amazing mother and manages to take care of her family and still keep up with her friends. Erin has more friends than anyone I know…no surprise since she is known as the social director who is always ready to host an event! I am thankful to have Erin as my “sister,” friend, and my matron of honor.

  Maid of Honor

Two five year old girls attending vacation bible school at St. Ann’s Catholic Church would never have guessed they would end up being lifelong friends. Whitney and I met at church and again in Miss English’s first grade class. We’ve been hanging out together ever since! The Rockets soccer team was where we both realized that our favorite part of the game was the snack at half time. Middle school had many memorable moments, and some we would probably rather forget (like running sprints during basketball season while Coach Atkinson ate donuts.) High school brought football games, drill team, church retreats, slumber parties, proms and graduation. We lived in Aggieland the next four years and graduated from Texas A&M in May, 2008. I couldn’t imagine my wedding day without Whitney by my side and I am blessed to have her as a maid of honor.

Lauren was at the hospital when I was born, I don’t know that she was too impressed at the time, but she decided to wait and see what I was all about. I am glad she did. Birthday parties, family trips to Red River, San Antonio, and Maui are times I will never forget. We also shared middle school and high school (oh and we can’t forget about Melva Smith’s school of dance where Lauren performed her infamous jazz recital!) Many nights in the “slumber party room” we shared our dreams and plans for the future, which of course included us falling in love with the men of our dreams! I am happy to say that those dreams are now coming true and I am so glad Lauren will be there to share this special day with me as my maid of honor.

Matthew’s family came to College Station for Russell’s graduation and I was nervous about meeting everyone. Meeting the older sister can be intimidating, but Heather was so easy to talk to and so much fun that I knew we would get along just fine! She is the most organized person and gets more done in a day than most do in a week! If you ever need help planning an event or a trip, Heather is the one to call. She loves her family and does so much to help everyone; I am thankful to have a new sister in Heather.

College brought many fun times and new friends. Living in the Tri-Delt house was an adventure every night especially with Corrie being in my sorority pledge class. The first time we really talked was when we were attacked by a gigantic grasshopper one morning while trying to study in the dining room…we were rescued by Mama Kay who was probably used to such bugs living in our kitchen! Date parties, lunches, sorority functions, staying up all night and living together one summer in College Station, are just a few things I will never forget sharing with Corrie. Loving country music, Corrie and I traveled to her home town of Spring, Texas to see Kenny and George in concert…fun times. Her mom is the best cook in the world and her breakfast casserole is to die for…I would travel to Spring for that…concert or not! Corrie is the most thoughtful person I know-I love Corrie and I am grateful to have her as a dear friend and bridesmaid.

Where do I start to explain how much I love Mallory? She is my sorority sister and dear friend. The party starts when Mallory arrives and she can make an entrance and exit like no one else. (One of her more memorable exits would be leaving the W hotel after her birthday celebration, but we won’t go there right now!) You know those people who are just magnetic? Mallory is like that…she walks in a room and everyone wants to know her and be around her. Mallory is the most “real” person I know, she tells it like it is and I love that about her! We understand each other better than most and we always pick up where we left off. I could not imagine my life without Mallory, she is the greatest!

Bridesmaid

Intelligent, funny, and beautiful are all words that perfectly describe Miss Caroline Maida – Of course we cannot forget caring either. Caroline is the nurturer… “Mom Maida” gives the best advice and she is always there when you need her. She is wise; she is probably the smartest person I know, not to mention level headed too. I could never have made it through Global Marketing class without her. I admire Caroline’s determination and I know that there is nothing she can’t accomplish. Every Thursday we would head to Caroline’s house where we would watch our favorite shows and make Chicken Express sweet tea runs…it was our home away from home. I am so glad she is able to take a short break from law school to share this special time with me.

The first time I met Kelley was during rush at Texas A&M. She walked into the Tri Delt house and I knew within a few minutes of talking to her that we would be great friends. I was so glad when she walked off the bus on bid day! Kelly moved into the Tri Delt house and we grew closer with many nights of “vent sessions.” I can tell Kelley anything, she knows exactly what to say when I don’t know what to do, or when I am upset. I could never have made it through college without her. She is the most down to earth person and someone I can depend on for anything at anytime. Not to mention she is the most honest person I have ever met and maybe the only other person alive that feels the same way about eating as I do! I love Kelley and I can’t imagine this day without her.

House Party

Jessica and I became good friends our junior year of college after living in the Tri Delt house together. You would not know it by just looking at her, but man this girl can rap! Jessica stole the show during our rush skit where she busted out rhymes like a pro; I must say you can always count on Jessica to pleasantly surprise you. Not only do we share our love for good M.K.S.O.J. stories (sorry, I had to throw in an inside joke eventually,) but we also got engaged on the very same night! Jessica will be getting married in May and I cannot wait to be there for her special day.

House Party

Ellen is one of the most nurturing people I know- that is one of the many reasons she is going to make such an amazing teacher. I can always count on Ellen to brighten my day with her heart warming laugh or animated facial expressions- no one can tell a story quite like Ellen, she can truly bring it to life! An artist at heart, Ellen has a creative spirit and her knack for photography is truly a God given talent. We may not share the same engagement date, but we certainly share the same location (Ellen was proposed to at Christ the King too!) She will be getting married in May and what a beautiful bride she will be!

Best Man

Russell is my older brother and best friend. We shared many great times together growing up, but nothing compared to the crazy moments we had living together in college. Not only were we roommates, but Russell and I worked together at A&M’s Recreation weight room too. We shared many of the same friends and went on unforgettable trips like our annual white trash ski trip. Russell has been a role model for me my entire life and I am proud to have him as my best man.

Jay and I have known each other for a long time. We both grew up in Pampa and attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and even played sports together. Once we graduated from high school, we headed south to Texas A&M where we were to start the next adventure of our lives. We lived together for two years in college and shared many late nights “studying” in front of the Xbox . Jay is the kind of friend you can talk to about anything, he has been there for me through good times and bad. Jay, or should I say “babyfood” Gerber, has been one of my closest friends throughout college and a friend I will have for life.

My freshman year in college I met Matt Jesberg. I do not remember much about the night we met, other than the fact that he looked exactly like Sam Adams and even had a poster of Sam Adams in his dorm room. Ever since then we have been great friends - whether we are playing late night poker, skiing at the lake, or making bonfires at the ranch, I always have a great time with Jesberg. Oh and I can’t forget about the ski trips (where hot tubs and late night Santa runs often occurred) and of course fun nights at O’Bannon’s. Jesberg is one of those friends that always tells you like it is and one that never forgets how to have a good time -everyone needs to have a friend like Jesberg .

James and I were best friends in high school and shared many good times on and off the basketball court in Pampa. During college James would make the trip to A&M for Chilifest where we shared some times we will never forget, or should I say never remember? James has always been there for me and is one of the hardest workers I know. Although James and I do not get to see each other very often, he will always remain one of my best friends and someone who I will always admire.

Kevin and I grew up in Pampa and when we graduated from high school we both headed to Texas A&M. We became great friends in college through intramurals, nights out, and of course the infamous ski trips. Kevin or “DK” can always be counted on to get the party started! He knows how to make the best of every situation and he never fails to turn every gathering into an “event.” He is someone you love to be around with his easy going personality and fun deposition. I am honored to have him as a groomsman and good friend.

Zach also grew up in Pampa, but moved to Corpus Christi when we were in high school. But as fate would have it, Zach headed to A&M to become an engineer after high school graduation. When Zach and I met up again it was like he had never left. We played college intramurals together and his house in Corpus became the place to go for Spring Break trips! Zach will be getting married summer of 2009 and I am proud to be one of his groomsman.

Ryan is one of those friends who is good at every sport imaginable! We had some fun times playing basketball and baseball through high school and attending church together in Pampa. Ryan went to West Texas A&M after high school graduation, but he finally saw the light and transferred to Texas A&M his junior year. We played intramurals together at A&M and won championships in football and basketball . Ryan is someone you always want on your team, but would never want to make a bet with, seeing as he always wins!
